Stamp Case Notebooks

I saw this idea on Angie's blog and immediately thought these would make awesome gifts for the grandkids. They are made using Stampin Up stamp cases...how cool is that!!! They both loved them and started writing on the notebooks as soon as they opened them up on Christmas Day.
This is what the inside looks like. Complete with a matching little pen that I found at Wal-Mart!!

Thanks for taking the time to stop by my blog!
Have an awesome day!

Christmas cards for grandkids

Ubfortunately I didn't find the time to make my Christmas cards this year but did make a couple for the grandkids. They love getting mail so these are the cards I came up with for them. They are both made with the Action Wobbles. I got the idea to make the cute little Santa over on Sarah's blog so the Santa head wobbles and then added one to the reindeer so he "dances" too.
Here is Cody's card:
And here is McKenzie's card:

Gift sets

Here are some gift sets I made for some friends at work. I watched a U Stream with Momo where she showed how to make all of these things and I couldn't wait to make some for my friends and co-workers. Each one was made specifically for that person either with a monogram or their favorite team and they were a huge hit!!! I  made the pink princess one for my adorable granddaughter, McKenzie.
THANKS Momo for the idea!!!! They were so fun to make...very addictive!!!

Have a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

Goodie Bags for Granddaughter's Class

Here are some goodie bags I made for my granddaughter's first grade class...very quick and easy!! I added each child's name to the top of the stockings. I kept them pretty simple because I knew that they would probably be much more interested in what was inside than how much decorating was done on the outside!! LOL
Thanks for stopping in!

Gifts for bus drivers

I made these little post it note holders for the bus drivers for the school where I work. Added a few Hershey kisses and put them in little cello bags and added a topper. I even customized each one and included their bus number on the back of the little buses. I also included a sentiment on the back, "Thanks for transporting our precious cargo!" They loved them!!!

Decorated Glass Blocks

WOW I can't believe how long it has been since I have posted anything. The past few weeks have been kind of a blur!! LOL Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and I wish everyone a Happy New Year!!!

Thought I would share somethings I have been working on the past few weeks. These are some decorated glass blocks that I made for some gifts and then of course I made one for me and one for my office!! My husband thought I had lost it when I told him I wanted him to drill some holes in the glass blocks but I assured if he would just drill the holes for me he would like what the end result would be!! They all turned out so pretty and everyone that I gave one to loved them. They were quite the topic of conversation at my office too and even had some people say that would buy some if I would make some more. They were so fun to make!! I even have an idea to make one with snowflakes and a Let it Snow sentiment for January....the possibilities are endless!!

Made by Momo Tuesday Challenge

The challenge for this week on Momo's blog is to make a card with embossing-either heat embossing or dry embossing. Here is my embossed card for this challenge. The punched leaves were adhered to the piece of cardstock before embossing in the folder with the Cuttlebug. I think this technique has been called inlaid embossing on some of the blogs. What a fun technique and I love the look!!
Thanks for stopping by and hope you are all having a great week!!
Happy Stamping!

Thank You Berry Much!

I needed to make a few thank you cards and found this darling strawberry paper in a mat pack I recently bought at Hobby Lobby. Thought it would look so cute with the sentiment from one of my new My Pink Stamper stamp sets.

Welcome Back Goodies for Staff

Here are some little treat bags I put together for the staff at the school where I work. Someone left the darling little bags in the office with a note that said "freebies" so the principal and I jumped at the chance to make them into Welcome back gifts. I used Doodlecharms for the little apple and then printed the "Welcome Back" from the computer and punched it out with a star punch. We added some chocolate and had a very cute but inexpensive little gift to put in mailboxes for their first day back to work after summer break. They were a big hit!!!

Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge #9- Back to School

Emma's challenge this week on My Creative Time is to create a project using the Paisley cartridge or an older cartridge with the theme being Back to School. I work as an elementary school secretary so I decided to make a new sign to go above the door to my office. What a perfect project to make for Emma's challenge and right here before we start back to school in a few weeks!!!! Since I don't have the Paisley cartridge I chose to use Plantin Schoolbook for the font, Doodlecharms for the apple and Locker Talk for the bus. I also used Stickles on the lights on the bus and they look very realistic!! I will try to post another picture once I have it put up at the school above the office door.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my blog!!!

Paper Cutz Challenge #53

For challenge # 53 over on Paper Cutz, we were to make a card, LO or craft project using a digital, hand stamped or Cricut cut image of a monkey, skunk, squirrel or hedgehog and any colors you'd like. I had seen Mary at Cardz TV make a tri-fold card and I had been wanting to give it a try. So I decided to make one for this challenge and add a little skunk to it. This was a really fun card to make and I will definitely be making more of these tri-fold cards in the future!

Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge & Cricut Cardz Challenge #34

For this week's challenge on Emma's blog we were to use the cartridge Celebrations and make a birthday themed card. The challenge on Cricut Cardz was to create a card with a cake, cupcake, cookies or candy and any cartridges, colors or theme you'd like. So I decided to use a cupcake from the Celebrations cartridge and then my card would meet the requirements for both challenges. Whoo Hoo!!!!

I think I kind of got carried way with all the sparkle on this card. I used glitter cardstock for the frosting on my cupcake with pink Stickles added to the top. The same glitter cardstock was used under the embossed background which was sprayed with shimmer mist. Top that off with the silver metallic paper used for the cupcake liner! Lots of sparkle on this one!!

Hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend and thanks for stopping by my blog!!!

Christmas in July Challenge-The Cuttlebug Spot

I made this card for the Christmas in July challenge over on The Cuttlebug Spot site. I am loving all of these Christmas in July challenges because then at least I will have a few of my Christmas cards done before December!
I just love this cute little penguin from the Create-a-Critter cartridge. I used my Gypsy to hide the facial cuts and then used one of my  Peachy Keen stamps for the darling little face. The embossed background is sprayed with Shimmer Mist so it really sparkly although it doesn't show up in the picture as I had hoped. I also added some Ice Crystal Stickles to the snowflake brad.

Christmas in July Challenge # 3- Cardz TV

I was blog hopping yesterday and came across this great site of Mary's on Cardz TV and decided to join in on her Christmas in July challenge. For this challenge we were to use ribbon, buttons, or lace--could be all three or just one. I tried to work all three into my card but just couldn't get it to work so I only have ribbon and button on mine. This was a fun challenge and who can resist getting a jump on making their Christmas cards!!
It doesn't show up in the picture but I used shimmer mist to spray the white embossed background and also the ornament so it is really sparkly!! Gotta love the sparkle!!

Thanks for stopping by and hope everyone has a fantastic week!!!

Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge- Wild Card Cartridge-Holiday Theme

This week on My Creative Time, Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge is to use the Wild Card cartridge and create a holiday themed card for your favorite holiday. I was so happy to have this challenge as I had bought this cartridge because I just HAD to have it and I'm ashamed to say, had never used it. Now I have found so many cards I want to make on there!! So thanks Emma for the challenge-it was a fun one!!

I chose to make the Christmas card and envelope. It is hard to see in the picture but I used a gold pen on the "Merry Christmas". You also cannot see the inside of the envelope but I used the red and while polka dot paper for the liner for it.

Have a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge

For Emma's Throwback Thursday challenge this week we were to create a scrapbook layout and use the Cricut cartridge Doodlecharms. This was a super fun challenge as I originally started scrapbooking several years ago and then got hooked on cardmaking and the scrapbooking fell by the wayside. It has been about 3 years since I have done any scrapbooking and while doing this challenge I realized how much I miss it. So thanks Emma for giving me the little push to get back to getting those family memories off the computer and in the albums. I know my grandchildren will love looking through the albums at the pictures!!
I used the Doodlecharms cartridge for the bunny head in the left corner and the Easter basket. Title was made using Storybook and the grass was done with Create-a-Critter. The bunny at the bottom right of the page and the eggs were all made with punches. Now to get the journaling done and get it in the album!!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping!

I started out making one, which led to another and then another until I ended up making 4 sets!! Inside there are two pockets-one for the cards and one for envelopes. They are so fun to make!!

Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge #2

I created this card for the Throwback Thursday challenge this week on Emma's blog. We were to use the Stretch Your Imagination cartridge and the colors blue, red and brown. Since I don't have that cartridge I used Doodlecharms which is one of the first cartridges I bought after getting my Cricut Expression and then used the required colors. It's hard to tell in the picture but there are Stickles on the swirls of "frosting" on the cupcake. Hope you have a great day and happy stamping!! TFL

Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge

Emma is hosting her first Throwback Thursday challenge over at My Creative Time and this is the card I made for the challenge. We were to use the Animal Kingdom cartridge or an older Cricut cartridge to create an animal themed card. Since I just recently got my Cricut all of my cartridges are new ones so I used Create a Critter cartridge for my card. I even used my new Gypsy to design and cut the card!! Love it!!
Thanks for visiting my blog and happy stamping!

My First Gypsy Project---thanks to EMMA!!!

This is my very first project made with my Gypsy that my husband bought me for Mother's Day. I want to thank my friend, Emma for all of her help to get my going on the Gypsy. Without her help it might still be in the box!!! LOL She is the Gypsy guru!!! She does amazing things with it and her projects are so wonderful. Check it out HERE!!! Now that I have used it, I am loving it!!!!

Birthday Card for Grandson

It's hard to believe but my little grandson just turned two yesterday.  He had a John Deere themed party so I made this card for him . I found several tractor ideas online and combined several of them to come up with this. Amazing that it is all made with punches!! Needless to say he was thrilled with his "green tractor card" as he called it!
